Twitter removed 140 character
The 140 term limit for posting to Twitter is only from 2006. But on Wednesday, the company has introduced a range of new 280 words, now all users will be able to tweet up to 280 characters. Including the tweets made in Bengali, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Marathi and Tamil language.Twitter conducted a test with a selective user in September in which 140 words were removed so that they could easily express themselves on Twitter.
The Microblogging website said in a blog post on Wednesday"Our goal was to ensure we maintain speed and brevity, which makes Twitter a Twitter." After seeing all the data, we have decided to apply this change in all languagesA few days ago during the trial, many people tweeted to the fullest extent of 280, but after a bit, their behaviour became normal.Twitter product manager Aleeja Roshan said"We saw people needing more than 140 character limit, so they can tweet more easily and more often." Most importantly, most of the time, most people tweeted in less than 140 characters. "Only 5 percent of the tweet is 140 characters long and only 2 percent of the tweet is more than 190 characters."
