United Petroleum Front (UPF) has announced the strike at a national level

United Petroleum Front (UPF) has announced the strike at a national level on behalf of petrol pump dealers. Dealers will keep the petrol pumps off from midnight on October 12 for the next 24 hours. They have planned a strike so that pressure on the government to persuade other demands including improvement in business inconsistencies.

Raveendranath said Oil marketing companies will revise the return on investment, amendment of dealer margin every six months.

The UPF says that if the government is not soft about their demands then they can go on indefinite strike for purchase and sale from October 27, and it will continue till the business discrepancies are not addressed.
